Our Purpose
Lime Health was founded in 2012 with a simple mission: to make insurance easy and fair.
Our founder, Shaun Williams, saw first-hand both the power of insurance to protect people, and the unnecessary barriers that too often made it confusing, slow, and unfair. From day one, Lime set out to remove that complexity, making access simpler, more transparent, and more human.
As we evolved and grew, one challenge stood out: the rising impact of healthcare on the UK economy. With the NHS under strain, traditional PMI serving only a minority, most employees were left without timely access to care. Employers felt the effects through absence, lower productivity, and the struggle to retain talent.
That’s when our focus sharpened. We pioneered a new category: whole of workforce healthcare, to close the workforce health gap. Today, Lime Health helps advisers and employers support every employee, from the CEO to the call centre, with affordable, practical, evidence-based healthcare.
